I enjoyed the tale of the encounter with the wallaby, who has to endure whatever weather comes along. The end point view is spectacular, the blues are incredible. But you are right, the things along the way are important too. I mostly look at the vegetation on a hike, more than the views, since I am a gardener and biologist.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057604927035176441.post-42201392122397843442015-08-19T09:02:00.048+10:002015-08-19T09:02:00.048+10:00Very creative shots of a magical place ~ for OWT

Always wished I had red hair when I was young. Now there's too much grey to worry about that ;)DeniseinVAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08494518513936310345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057604927035176441.post-79391437988953476732015-07-28T19:31:13.845+10:002015-07-28T19:31:13.845+10:00What a glorious place. I think those kinds of people find difficulty in enjoying anything...no matter how grand or how simple.

Bright, warm, sunny days are not the only beautiful days - there is beauty in every day...and night. I recall that one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen included dark gray, blue clouds hovering low, cold wind in the 30's and the most glorious irridescent turquoise ice on this earth. Oh, and humpback whales.

Those postcard perfect days serve their purpose, but they surely don't show all the beauty and grandeur to be had if you look. It is a 'wonder' to me that you so often write what I too would think. Am a great believer in the journey meaning as much as the destination and that preparedness + encounter = worthwhile experience. Now living in a cold and Northern clime, I could so feel your description of 'warmth leaking from your ears'. Many years ago I took a short day trip to Tasmania but did not happen upon walking trails. You uncovered a missing gem for me. Looking forward to your next adventure post!

Out To Pasturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17949493910996476623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057604927035176441.post-77767631569518159322015-07-18T16:49:15.499+10:002015-07-18T16:49:15.499+10:00yes I agree with you that the things you see on th...yes I agree with you that the things you see on the way up and always different to the things you see on the walk down. Pity about the weather but there again, I think if one wears the right clothes, you can get out and enjoy all kinds of weather. well I am used to that, as you know in Northern Ireland. A great read, very well written and I enjlyed it very much. the view from the top was really worht making the journey.
